Madam Fannie’s San Antonio Brothel and the Wild Bunch

San Antonio's Red Light District attained national notoriety in the 1890s, outshined only by the sporting districts of New Orleans and San Francisco. One of the most prominent madams in Gilded Age Bexar was Miss Fannie Porter. It was a favorite of the Wild Bunch and some of Fannie's girls ran off with the outlaws. How did Fannie end up in this role and what became of her?
