Our Mission
Texas History Trust exists to advocate for Texas history based on historical record, and to provide the public with the source material and context to understand the history of this land.
Our Founder
Michelle Haas created a Texana publishing house in 2006, to keep first-hand accounts of Texas history in print. To date, she has brought more than fifty titles out of obscurity. She is the prominent voice speaking out against historical societies, university history departments and authors who alter Texas history based on feelings, not the historical record. Michelle founded Texas History Trust to join like-minded Texans together to advocate for an honest portrayal of history.
Our Board of Directors
Our inaugural board consists of academic and lay historians, Texas history book publishers and non-profit professionals committed to the facts and dedicated to fostering appreciation for our historical record.
