Texas Indian Papers (1825-1916)

In 1959-61, Dorman Winfrey and James M. Day compiled the four-volume Texas Indian Papers. In 1966, John H. Jenkins compiled a fifth volume containing 276 additional letters from the Executive Department relating to Indian affairs. He issued all five books together through Pemberton Press as The Indian Papers of Texas and the Southwest. The book are arranged chronologically, as follows:

Volume One: 1825-1843. Volume Two: 1844-45. Volume Three: 1846-59. Volume IV: 1860-1916. The correspondence in the fifth volume spans 1846-59.
